Six.

Today marks six amazing months of being married to my best friend.

Half a year of laughter.
Six months of joy.
182 nights cuddling.
4,368 hours of happiness.
262,080 minutes of love.
15,724,800 seconds with my best friend by my side.

Eternity to go.

Love (ləv), noun:
1. a. An intense feeling of deep affection.
b. A deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone.
c. A great interest and pleasure in something.

This simple definition does not truly convey the feelings I have for my husband. There are no words that could capture the amount of love, compassion, and joy he gives me. But one thing I can say for sure is that after only six short months of being married, these feelings have only gotten stronger. Every single day, he pushes me to be a better me, and loves every one of my flaws. I've never met a person who fits me quite so well. I'm so blessed to have this man by my side for eternity.

I love you, Ian.

Date night tonight, and moving into our new apartment tomorrow! Happy weekend, friends!

Obligatory Updates.

Well, I forgot to post again yesterday.. But the good news is that we are all moved out of our apartment. And we will be moving into our new one on SATURDAY! I am so excited.

Other than that, there's not too much going on.

Happy Thursday, friends!

PS: Almost one week of classes down, five to go!
PPS: Six months of marriage tomorrow! Where did the time go?!

Family.

"Anti-Christ is anti-family. Any doctrine or principle our youth hear from the world that is anti-family is also anti-Christ. It's that simple." -Julie Beck

I love these words because of how powerful and piercing they are. Families today are disintegrating at an ever-increasing rate. Destruction comes so easily and so quickly, and it is time to put an end to it.

At the center of it all, there are two things. Jesus Christ (and His gospel), and family. We enter this mortal world into these family units that are designed to help us succeed. The problem, though, is that the success rate of families is on the decline.

When we understand that the family is central to the Plan of Salvation, we can see clearly why the sanctity of families is being tried today. Satan doesn't want us to succeed. And he's willing to do anything to hinder our journey back to Heavenly Father.

If we keep our eyes open to these destructive, worldly things, we can build our families to be strong and we can be successful. Focus on the Spirit. Ready yourselves to defend your spouses and children. Cling to the eternal truths.

I am so grateful for my little eternal family, and I know that if we continue to follow Jesus Christ, we will be blessed.

"Families can be together forever, through Heavenly Father's plan. I always want to be with my own family, and the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord has shown me how I can."

Home Sweet Home.

Well, I'm back from my wonderful week-long vacation to my favorite spot! Of course, I took way too many pictures.. So prepare for an overload, friends.

Bye bye, Utah.

Hello, Phoenix (and weird bugs in the airport)!

The Appalachian "Mountains".

Tunnels.

Ah, Bojangles.

Memory Lane

The park. So many memories, including when my sister got a rusty nail stuck in her foot.

The old house. And the tree that used to have a face on it.

Schools that I went to (just two of the 10).

My childhood home.

On the way to Ocracoke!

Mmm, candy.

Ferry time!

The beach house.

Shrimp burgers.

Beach time!

Obligatory pre-beach selfie. Excuse the sunburn.

The most delicious chocolate cake from Sweet Tooth.

The Ocracoke Lighthouse.

A stinkin' adorable dog!

Oh man, don't even get me started on this awesome pizza.

The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

From the inside.

Dad being terrified (of heights).

The view from the top!

Mater! Like Tow-Mater.

Oh, Ocracoke. I love you.

Best bacon burger (aside from my hubby's, of course).

"Mountains"

More tunnels.

My sweet Buttercup laying with dad.

Ah, real mountains!!!

And look at all the things my wonderful husband did for me while I was gone. Yes, those are our brand new knobs on our TV stand!!!

Started classes today, went back to work, getting ready to move on Saturday, and finishing DIY projects before the big move. I am one busy girl, but I am so happy to be back home. Six wonderful months of marriage on Friday! Can't wait to celebrate in our new home. Happy Monday.
